Home grown & homemade
We pride ourselves on sourcing virtually all our meat from our own farms just down the road from the farm shop.
As well as our own produce, we stock everything you need for a truly local stock up. Over 80% of what we sell comes from within 50 miles. Fresh bread, fruit and vegetables are delivered daily – milk, eggs, cheeses, preserves and even honey from local bees mean your food has come from only a few miles away.
Our butchers still do things the traditional way – properly maturing the carcass, hand cutting joints and hand making sausages to produce the best flavour and quality. Just ask if you need a specific joint or cut of meat. We also have a great range of meat boxes for the freezer. At Christmas our customers come back time and time again for their free range turkeys, gammons, ribs of matured beef, pork roasting joints and all the trimmings.
Our busy kitchen team prepare a huge range of home made products to go into the farm shop and coffee shop. Our own meat and locally sourced ingredients are used wherever possible –that way we make sure freshness and quality are as you expect.
Look in the deli counter for coleslaw, salad pots, scotch eggs, cooked meats and several kinds of quiches. At the bakery counter you\’ll find fresh scones every morning, hand made cakes, biscuits, flapjacks and fruit pies. Elsewhere in the shop there\’s hand made pies, ready meals, soups and puddings.
Cooking guidelines
We are often asked about the best way to prepare our meat so we have asked our chefs in the kitchen to prepare some simple cooking guides as to the best way to ensure a great roast. Feel free to ask for any advice when you are in the shop as well.

Local Suppliers
Over 80% of what we sell in the farm shop comes off our own farm or from within 50 miles. Most of our local suppliers are small farms or producers that we have know personally for many years. Many of them come along to the shop to do tastings so keep an eye out for your favourite products. We are constantly on the look out for new local producers so that we can add something more to the range in the farm shop.
